call any shot an unplayable lie
You can call any golf ball lie unplayable through the green. Lots of golfers think because it’s unplayable in the side scrub, bushes, or trees, they can remove the ball and drop back into play in a clear area. There are 3 options when you declare an unplayable lie:
- Keeping a straight line from the pin to your ball, go back on a continuous line as far as you want. If you are in the bunker, you must stay in the bunker.
- Hit from the last place you hit.
- 2 club lengths. Since this is 2 clubs penalty vs 1 club length free relief, you can choose any club in your bag for measurement.
